To Learn or to Practice

Nowadays, doing part-time jobs could be found everywhere in our daily lives, and many students even neglect their own study. Therefore, it is controversial whether college students should spend time learning or doing practical work.

Some people hold that students had better take part in social activities, which can prepare them for their future work. In their opinions, through social practice students can learn what can't be learned in classes. Other people believe that students' main task is study. Social practice will waste too much time and energy.

In my view, students can do some part-time works as long as it has no effect on their study. By doing some part-time jobs, they can enrich their life and put what they have learned in class into practice. More importantly, social practice is a good preparation for their future work.
