Nowadays, many people are suffering a lot from environmental pollution. We have to admit the fact that it pays to be friendly to our environment. But why did this phenomenon happen?

The reasons could be concluded as follows. First, people have cut more trees than before, and trees play an important role in keeping the earth from flowing away and cleaning the air. Then, a great number of factories and cars let out waste gas and water without reprocessing. Besides, there are also many people littering rubbish freely.

Everyone should be responsible for the environmental protection. As to the above problems, some urgent actions must be taken. First, we have to plant more trees. Then, it is also high time that we helped the public to realize the importance of the environment. Last but not least, those people who pollute the environment should be seriously punished.
