I am writing to offer my sincere congratulations to you on your taking first place in the First Chinese Calligraphy Contest for Foreign Students. As your friend, I just want you to know I am more than glad at your success.

“Everything comes to him who waits. For these years, you’ve shown great interest in Chinese calligraphy and kept on practicing it every day. Not only have you referred to many calligraphy books, but also you have consulted some calligraphy masters. Hard work pays off. Eventually, it was through your hard work and talent that you succeeded in winning the championship!
